READING THE BIBLE WITH JBL

In 2025, we are going to read the whole New Testament with JBL (Jocelyn’s Brother in Law).

Tim Mackie is one of the founders of the Bible Project. We will be using their reading plan and content, through the YouVersion Bible app, to read the whole New Testament in one year.

We will start this journey together on January 1.

Follow the steps below to begin.

STEP 1

Download or Log In to the YouVersion Bible App

STEP 2

Create an account, which will allow you to:
subscribe to the New Testament in One Year Plan and
follow FPC (available only via the app) to receive notifications and encouragement

STEP 3

Start the plan on January 1st!

Search for “BibleProject New Testament in One Year” and select “Start Plan”.

If you start the plan early, you can restart it on Jan. 1.

If you start the plan late, you can “catch up”!


Join the FPC online community on the App!

Search for “First Presbyterian Church Bellingham”
Select the “FPC Bellingham” option.

Select “…” in the upper right corner and select “Set As My Church”

Special Notes:

  • Doug’s favorite versions include: The Message (MSG) and the First Nation’s Version (FNVNT).

  • Not all versions have audio narrators available

  • The NLT version allows you to select a female narrator

  • Some audio versions have musical or sound accompaniment
