A Very Merry Staff Christmas Letter 2022

Dear family & friends,

A Merry Christmas to all of you and to those you love. It has been a big year for the FPC Staff family and I am excited to update you on some of our exploits:

Jocelyn

Has just added 2 little kittens to the growing menagerie of animals at her urban homestead. She often shares with us the marks that their love and affection have left on her skin. She has also discovered that as an adult she is probably now allergic to cats, but some things are worth a constant case of the sniffles.

Emily

Is continuing to live a life of unfiltered bohemian creativity. Her great joy is to play with her dog or her nephews. Best days are when they all play together in one happy dog pile.

Tammy

Is enjoying teaching her piano and music students. She has diligently been collecting “punny” music t-shirts in an effort to have one for every day of the week. Please send any Buxtehude jokes her way.

Griffin

Is continuing to do great work at FPC and in academia as an undergraduate at WWU. He has been working out different ways to wear his facial hair, hoping to someday 'stache the Fu Manchu.

Kerrie

Keeps riding the same route to church on her bicycle but debates taking a new turn every time. This fall she began a 2-year certification process to become a spiritual director and ended her work with Saint Joseph’s as a chaplain in order to focus on FPC and getting ready for her 2023 Sabbatical.

Alissa

Can often be seen hanging with her 3 boys, on Zoom, or talking on the phone, sometimes all at the same time. She has been thinking about pursuing a course in introversion, but she can’t give up talking to people long enough to try it out.

Mikyn

Works hard drumming up grants for various underfunded non-profits in town. She and her daughter have been dressing their cat up in different Hamilton outfits because they are not giving up their shot.

Nicki

Is heading up the FPC Commons as she continues her quest for artistic self-expression. After a brief and uncomfortable stint in ceramics she is back painting and block printing. She is giving up her pots.

Doug

Is celebrating his 20th year in Bellingham and at FPC. After 2 years of training he has received his certificate to be a spiritual director. With that and 6 bucks, he can buy a latte. He is now beginning to train for the 2024 olympic reading competition, young adult fiction division. If that doesn’t work he is hoping he can compete in the random, non sequitur singing division..

We miss you all. Please swing by and visit us if you are ever in town.

:)

Blessings,
