Dear Parents,

This advent we invite you and your children to join us in the ancient practice of praying four times a day. On these cards you will find kids' versions of the Canticles (songs) of Zechariah - prayed in the morning, Elizabeth - prayed midday, Mary - prayed at dinner time, and Simeon - prayed at bedtime.

Read the prayer to your child and invite them to say the refrain. Or keep it short and just say the bolded refrain together. Post these cards on the fridge or bathroom mirror or in the car. Download the FPC podcast for kids and play the prayers and listen together. Simple repetition, modeled practice, and a little ritual like lighting a candle before prayers are beautiful ways to nurture your child’s faith this Advent.
