Point Whitehorn BYOPicnic

Join us immediately after church (bring your sack lunches, water and sunblock!) as we travel up to Point Whitehorn Marine Reserve for an afternoon of being in nature, spending time together, and agate hunting led by Agate Extraordinaire Alissa!

The first 0.7 miles of the Point Whitehorn Trail is fully accessible with viewpoints looking over the Strait of Georgia and San Juan Islands. The final 0.1 mile is a steep switchback descending from the bluff to a rocky windswept beach. If walking on a rocky beach seems daunting, we will have a group of people sitting on the beach for picnicking.

Take the Grandview Road exit 266 (WA-548) off of I-5 and drive west for 8.5 miles. Follow the road as it curves left and becomes Koehn Road, then continue half a mile to the parking area just off of Koehn Road, to the left (east).

Bathrooms are available at the parking lot.
